CANTERBURY HEALTH LABORATORIES

The Extension of Pathology:
Collaboration beyond the Laboratory

23rd - 24th MAY 2017

RYDGES LATIMER, CHRISTCHURCH

About Programme Contact Us Canterbury Health Laboratories

Canterbury Health Laboratories annually invites laboratory managers and leaders from around New Zealand, Australia and further afield to participate in their User Group meeting...

Over the years the meeting has moved from a predominantly scientific focus to include discussions on issues affecting the industry’s future direction and sustainability. The Lab Meeting is recognised as providing a valuable forum for senior medical laboratory associated people and those interested in the pathology sector.

The Extension of Pathology: Collaboration beyond the Laboratory aims to encourage delegates to leave the traditional confines of the laboratory and engage in conversations with the wider sector around new ways of working to optimise patient outcomes. The programme is designed to bring together the Clinical, Executive, Patient, Scientific and Technology aspects of a complex Health System, all of which will have an impact on future service needs.

2017 Programme topics include:

The value of Collaboration Business Intelligence
Pathology beyond the Laboratory - POCT Strengthening Clinical Relationships
Scientific Advances Turning Data into Actions
Emerging use of e-technologies, for both Clinicians and Patients Developing your Team to be flexible and remain relevant

A preconference programme is again being run, where pre-conference meetings are largely by invitation and include: Laboratory Managers Meeting; Labnet Meeting; Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Managers Meeting; and a sponsored evening networking event.

The social programme includes Welcome drinks, Rum Red Socks and Reminiscing drinks and a Conference Dinner.
